Excursion

An excursion is a short trip or activity, arranged by tour operators, cruise lines, or hotels. It can include adventure activities and visits to local tourist attractions. Backpackers, digital nomads, and family travelers often include excursions to their itineraries.

Many excursions are promoted through OTAs, destination management companies (DMCs), hotel concierge services, and lodging partners. They can be standalone experiences or part of a broader tour (e.g, a city tour) that includes multiple activities and lasts for hours.
