Lodging options vary in terms of price, amenities, comfort, and style, catering to different traveler preferences and budgets. Basic lodgings like budget hotels and motels provide essential amenities like a bed and bathroom, while upscale ones like resorts and luxury hotels offer additional services like concierge assistance, spas, and fitness centers, which come with a service fee.

Lodges come in various forms, including — chain hotels, independent hotels, timeshare properties, etc. — and use distribution channels like OTAs, GDSs, and their own websites to reach potential guests. They also deploy revenue management strategies, like dynamic pricing, to maximize occupancy rate and profitability.
