Peak season

Peak season, also called peak period, is the time of the year when travel demand is at its highest. Service providers in the travel and hospitality industry — hotels, airlines, tour operators, etc — use dynamic pricing to adjust their rates and charge more during this period.

Common peak seasons include summer vacations, holiday periods, and major events. During this period, popular travel destinations may experience overcrowding and the availability of accommodations and flights can be limited.

Peak season varies depending on destinations and weather conditions. For example, tropical destinations may have a peak season during the dry season, while ski resorts are busiest in the winter months.
