Split ticketing

Split ticketing refers to the practice of booking more than one ticket for a single journey rather than one continuous ticket. For example, instead of booking a single ticket from City A to City C, they book one ticket from City A to City B and another from City B to City C.

This money-saving approach is common in rail and air travel. For example, split ticketing can be cheaper than buying a single ticket for the entire journey due to regional or promotional discounts.

Split ticketing gives travelers more flexibility as they can select alternative routes or stopovers. Passengers can book tickets with different carriers or modes of transport to better suit their schedules or preferences.
