White label app
A white label app is a generic application that is created as an unbranded template and sold to another business for further branding and customization (visual redesign, functionality fine-tuning, etc.). Typically, white-label app development companies provide post-release support and maintenance.
Compared to custom app development, the main advantages of white-label apps are cost-efficiency and speed to market. The downsides are limited functionality and no access to the backend (for customers) which, in turn, means lack of control and fewer scaling/customization opportunities.
The industries that use white-label apps the most are food delivery, taxi, travel, and retail/eCommerce.
